In the Open Combat lesson techniques and principles from various martial arts such as Ju-Jutsu, Aikido, Kickboxing are employed.
With a partner we practice specific techniques (joint locks, throws, kicks, ground techniques) to deflect various attacks and threats. We practice defensive techniques against armed and unarmed attacks while standing as well as attacks while on the ground.
Open Combat improves physical fitness, strengthens self-confidence, and helps dealing with everyday irritations more calmly.
Everybody with an interest in open combat is welcome, especially beginners.

Open Combat is open to all members of Aikikai Basel.
Non-members are welcome to attend a trial lesson.
